Whew, that took forever!

This photoblog was starting to get large and unwieldy, so I thought I’d close it and start a new Photoblog.  However, a few days later, this closed Photoblog got totally hosed -- all entries were blanked.

Luckily, I recovered from backup.  Then to try to isolate potential problems, I moved this Photoblog to its own iWeb site, linkable from other sites.  Because it’s so huge, it took a long time for iWeb to move the data internally, locally.  Once (maybe twice), it hosed the Photoblog, so I had to recover again.

Eventually, it got moved.

Then, I tried uploading everything.  That took forever, too, and there was something going on with MobileMe that kept returning errors.  Inconsistent errors.  Each time I retried, I wasn’t entirely sure that I wasn’t just starting over from the beginning.  Given how brain-dead iWeb is, I wouldn’t have been surprised to find out that it was restarting from scratch every time.

I think, however, that it was restarting from where I left off.  Anyway, after over a dozen attempts, maybe approaching two dozen, I finally got this Photoblog archive uploaded.

In the future, I think I’ll keep these Photoblogs limited to about a year’s worth of entries.
