Allan’s Photoblog 2012 Archive

It’s a new year and a new web host, and it’s time for me to select a new web site template, to archive last year’s Photoblog, and to continue transitioning to the new web site.  The current Photoblog is linked at the top of this page.

From this page, you can also link to:

  1. My 2011 Photoblog archive, which actually started in late 2010 and ended in early 2012.

  2. My pre-2011 Photoblog archive.

  3. My iBlog-based Photoblog archive.

  4. My HomePage Archive #1.

  5. My HomePage Archive #2.

  6. My Cancún vacation pages.

  7. My honeymoon pages.

If you are looking at this page, you are now at my new http://www.alabrador.com web site.  As I noted earlier, Apple’s MobileMe provided web page hosting for iWeb and other applications, and with Apple transitioning from MobileMe to iCloud, I have transitioned to a new web host.  Fortunately, iWeb is smart enough to update appropriate links between my sites, when the pages are maintained by iWeb itself.  Unfortunately, other external pages that are hard-coded as links are not updated.  If you find an out of date link, please let me know.

I have also replaced my web gallery with my new Flickr Pro web site.  From now on, I will upload new photo albums there, and the old photo albums are already there.

Unfortunately, I haven’t yet transferred my movies from the web gallery to a new site.  I considered using YouTube, but that site is too touchy about copyrighted material.  I put up a movie of James dancing to a music video, and somehow, YouTube picked up that the music was copyrighted.  While their automated e-mail to me didn’t demand that I take it down and also stated that I was still a member in good standing, they suggested that they might put up ads during the video, in accordance with their terms of service.  Frankly, I don’t really object to their terms of service or to their putting up ads, but I’m not really willing to put up with worrying about whether my personal videos are violating their terms of service or some copyright.
